Deputy CM Ajit Pawar resumes work under home quarantine

A review meeting was held recently under the leadership of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to provide relief to the victims affected by the flood and excess rain in Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar attended the same through video conferencing.

State Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar, after his visit in Solapur, was feeling tired. As of Thursday, October 22, he has been quarantined at home. However, he has distanced himself from everybody in these times but has resumed his office work from his official residence 'Devagiri'. On Friday, October 24, he attended an important meeting in the afternoon.

Pawar recently visited several areas in Pune and Solapur districts to inspect the damage caused by the return rains. After returning home from the tour, he developed a fever and got tested for coronavirus as a precautionary measure. However, the result was not publically announced, and as per speculations, some said that it was negative and others stated that he was positive for the infection. However, as precautionary measures, he had decided to stay under home quarantine,

It seems like his health has been keeping well, and he has continued his duties in these times. Pawar, through video conferencing, got in touch with the officials, for his duties, whereby he is taking decisions on government posts, giving instructions to the officials, reviewing the damage caused by the flood situation, reviewing the relief work, disposing of files etc. These activities are being conducted regularly and smoothly from the residence.

A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to provide relief to the flood and flood victims. Pawar attended the same through video conferencing, and officials made announcements whereby the state government has decided to provide a relief package or assistance of INR 10,000 crore to the victims affected by the recent flood in Maharashtra.

His office has also confirmed that the Deputy Chief Minister is available for all meetings through video conferencing, and the same will be attended from his residence. He is constantly taking care to ensure that the decision-making process of the state government continues during this period
