Mumbai- The launch of Reliance Jio has shaken up the Indian cell phone industry to its foundations.
Reliance Jio is currently leading the cellular technology market, and Airtel is lagging behind as well. But now news is that Aditya Birla Group’s Idea Cellular and Vodafone's Indian unit could merge.
Airtel is currently leading the pack with 23 crore subscribers. After the merger of Idea Cellular and Vodafone, the total subscriber base will shoot up to 39 crore, a commendable figure by any standards.
