One contractual labour died and two other were injured during maintenance block at 2.05-5.10 am on January 27, between Ambernath and Badlapur after a Track Relaying Train (TRT) machine deployed for the works.
The gantry of the TRT machine derailed, affecting the train services on the Central Railway from CSMT-Ambernath and Badlapur-Karjat.
According to the latest reports, train services have been restored on Ambarnath-Badlapur section from 09.40 am. Besides, the first train for Badlapur left Kalyan at 09.59 am, said Shivaji Sutar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway.

Moreover, Mail/Express special trains were diverted via Panvel-Karjat. Suburban trains are running from CSMT to Ambarnath only and between Badlapur and Karjat.
