To make the journey of local train commuters on more comfortable and convenient, the Central Railway Administration has taken another important decision.

Presently 12 coach and 15 coach EMU trains stop at different halt boards at different stations on main line (fast corridor). With this, the total number of 15-car services will increase from 106 to 132.

Besides, in an initiative to provide better train services & accommodate more passengers in trains over Mumbai Suburban section, Western Railways (WR) has decided to convert 12 local train services of 12-car to 15-car services, 6 services each in both directions.
