A 47-year-old man died in a collision with a speeding BEST Bus in Aarey Colony area of Goregaon East.
The person who passed away in the accident has been identified as 47-year-old Sadiq Sajid Khan. His death has left his family in mourning.
The fatal accident took place on Tuesday afternoon while going towards Royal Palm. Best bus driver Ramesh Londhe was driving the bus when he hit a two-wheeler coming in front. The bus conductor and the citizens rushed the him to the hospital for treatment.
Doctors declared him dead on arrival. Meanwhile, Aarey police have registered a case and have arrested the bus driver Ramesh Londhe. The police are investigating the matter further.
A few days ago an accident took place in Lalbaug involving the BEST Bus. The bus left from Ballard Pier towards Sion. Accused Dutta Shinde and the BEST bus driver got into a brawl and the former pulled the steering wheel which led to the accident. This claimed the life of Nupur Maniyar and other eight people were injured.
