There is a possibility that the water crisis of Mumbaikars will be solved. Record rainfall has been recorded for two days in the dam area that supplies water to Mumbai. 237 mm rainfall was recorded in Bhatsa dam area, 120 mm in Tansa dam area, 26 mm in Vihar dam area, 32 mm in Tulsi dam area and 48 mm in Madhya Vaitrana dam area.


Increase in the water storage of Barvi Dam by an average of one and a half meters 

Barvi dam near Badlapur, which quenches the thirst of Thane district, has recorded 80 millimeters of rain in the last 24 hours, the first time that Barvi dam has received heavy rainfall since the onset of monsoon. Barvi Dam supplies water to Thane, Kalyan Dombivli, Ambernath, Mira-Bhayander and MIDC areas. Increase in the water storage of Barvi Dam by an average of one and a half meters

Huge increase in water storage in Khadakwasla dam 

There has been a huge increase in water storage in the Khadakwasla Dam as well. 5.87 TMC water storage has increased in all the four dams in the Khadakwasla Dam chain area. It is raining heavily in Khadakwasla dam chain area of Temghar, Varasgaon, Panshet. All the four dams together have enough water storage for Pune city that will last for a month.
