Under the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, 8.5 hectares of Mother Dairy in Kurla has been given to Dharavi Redevelopment Project Private Limited (DRPPL). The residents of Kurla have started a mass movement against this decision of the state government. As part of this mass movement, the people of Kurla have now called for a postcard movement. Through this postcard, a demand will be made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to cancel the government's decision to replace Mother Dairy with DRPPL. Letters of cancellation of the government decision will be sent to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister.

Under Dharavi Redevelopment, the ineligible residents of Dharavi will also be rehabilitated. However, this rehabilitation will be done outside Dharavi and for this, DRPPL has requested the state government for land at various places in Mumbai. Accordingly, recently the state government has given 8.5 hectares of land of Mother Dairy in Kurlya to DRPPL. Government decision regarding this has also been published. However, the residents of Kurla have opposed giving this land to DRPPL. Not only 8.5 hectares but the entire 21 hectares of land should not be given to DRPPL or anyone else. The people of Kurla have demanded that a park should be built at this place. They also demand that the decision to give 8.5 hectares of land to DRPPL should be cancelled. Kurla residents have now come together for this demand through people's movement and have formed a mass movement.
