Mumbai Traffic Police Issues Advisory Ahead Of Bandra Fair From September 8-16

Ahead of Bandra Fair 2024, the Mumbai Police on Tuesday, September 3, issued traffic restrictions around Mount Mary Church and parts of Bandra West.

In a notification released, the Mumbai Traffic Police said that the traffic restrictions in the area will come into effect from September 8 and will remain in force till September 16.

Mount Mary Fair will be celebrated in Bandra West from September 8, 2024 to September 16, 2024 and vehicular traffic on some roads is likely to be affected as lakhs of devotees visit Mount Mary Church. Therefore, it is necessary to issue traffic management orders in this area, Sadanshan Pawar, DCP (Headquarters & Central), Traffic, Mumbai said in the traffic notification issued.

It said traffic restrictions are being followed to avoid danger, disruption and inconvenience to the public.

One Way/ No Entry

1. Mount Mary Road will be closed from 06.00 to 23.00 hours to all vehicles except those of local residents who have been issued a car pass by police and emergency vehicles.

2. Kane Road will be 'one way' for all types of vehicles from junction with Mount Mary Road to junction with BJ Road, 'No Entry' from BJ Road except vehicles of local residents issued with passes.

3. Pereira Road will be one way from East to West i.e. 'No Entry' from BJ Road.

4. St. John Baptista Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 06.00 to 23.00 hours except for local residents issued special passes.

5. From Chapel Road to Veronica Road, Carmel Church right turn will be closed to all vehicles.

Parking or stopping of all types of vehicles except for immediate pickup or drop off of passengers on both sides of the following roads shall be prohibited from 06.00 hrs onwards to 23.00 hrs between September 8, 2024, to Sunday, September 23, 2024.

4. Hill Road (between St. Paul's Road and its junction with Mehboob Studio Junction).

5. Mount Camel Road.

6. Chapel Road.

7. John Baptist Road.

8. St. Sebastian Road.

11. St. Paul's Road
