Students of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation run school no. 76 went to Magica in Khopoli for the picnic. During this trip, Ayush Singh, a 13-year-old student studying in class VIII, died. Around 5:30 pm, Ayush started vomiting and felt unconscious. He was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.


"As the postmortem report is awaited and the father's statement has not been recorded, we have not registered an accidental death report yet. Preliminarily, the death appears to be due to health issues," said police inspector Sachin Pawar of Khalapur police station.

Meanwhile, in Kolhapur too, a toddler has unfortunately died. A 3-year-old boy died due to electric shock on the construction site of a hostel in Kolhapur.
