According to the information of the India Meteorological Department, no red alert or orange alert has been given to any district of the state for the next 24 hours. At present, yellow alert has been given to Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune, Satara districts. Barring all the above districts, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain up to 65 mm in the rest of the districts and a green alert has been issued.


Citizens of districts affected by lightning should download and install the "DAMINI" app in their mobiles to stay updated and alert. The app alerts users through GPS notifications within 20 to 40 kms and also suggests precautionary measures. Citizens should download and install the "Sachet" app to receive disaster warnings and official notifications.


The State Government is sending notices and messages to the citizens from time to time through the CAP-SACHET portal. However, citizens should follow the instructions received.
