A terrifying accident has taken place near Palasner village on the Dhule-Mumbai-Agra highway. In this incident, at least 15 people were crushed to death while several others were injured after a truck rams into highway hotel in Dhule.
Moreover, nearly 15 to 20 people have been injured. The death toll is feared to rise further as the container first collided with four vehicles.
The accident occurred around 12 noon near Palasner village on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Dhule district, which is over 300 km away from the state capital, according to a police official.
It took place as the brake of the trucks failed and the container rammed into a hotel causing a horrific collapse. Meanwhile, the police have reached the spot. The truck was entering Maharashtra from Madhya Pradesh.
The injured were immediately admitted to a local hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.
