Amidst the heavy rains that have engulfed the city, a two-year-old boy has gone missing after falling in an open manhole on July 10, Wednesday. The toddler has been identified as Divyanshu and has been missing since Wednesday night.
The incident took place around 10:20 pm at Goregaon's Ambedkar Nagar area. According to the CCTV footage that was released, the child is seen wandering near an electric box after which, he fell in the uncovered manhole.

Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi said that they are investigating the matter and will continue their search. He also added that they will find out who is responsible for this.
The unfortunate incident surfaces after the city was lashed by heavy rains since the first week of July. It is only a matter of time before an untowardly incident might take place if the authorities don't take necessary measures.
