The price of vegetables has increased from INR 2 to INR 5 at the wholesale market of the Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Vashi. But in the retail market, the common people are being looted by selling the vegetables from the rate of INR 50 to INR 60 rupees per kg to INR 100 to INR 120 per kg. Meanwhile, the seller claimed that the vegetable has become expensive due to the decrease in the arrival of the vegetable due to changes in the environment.
In APMC, vegetables arrive from Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur. Also, a sufficient amount of vegetables are imported from Gujarat, Karnataka. Around 700 vehicles enter the vegetable wholesale market in APMC every day, however, on Wednesday only 560 vehicles arrived at the market.

Due to climate change, the production of vegetables is less. Due to this, the prices of vegetables have increased as the income is decreasing to some extent, the selleINR said. In the wholesale market, the price of vegetables has increased by INR 2 to INR 5. Peas are being sold at INR 19 per kg in the wholesale market and INR 320 per kg in the retail market. Also, the retail price of cauliflower is INR 32 per kg and INR 120 per kg.
