The price of vegetables has increased from INR 2 to INR 5 at the wholesale market of the Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Vashi. But in the retail market, the common people are being looted by selling the vegetables from the rate of INR 50 to INR 60 rupees per kg to INR 100 to INR 120 per kg. Meanwhile, the seller claimed that the vegetable has become expensive due to the decrease in the arrival of the vegetable due to changes in the environment.

In APMC, vegetables arrive from Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur. Also, a sufficient amount of vegetables are imported from Gujarat, Karnataka. Around 700 vehicles enter the vegetable wholesale market in APMC every day, however, on Wednesday only 560 vehicles arrived at the market.
