While the political atmosphere has heated up following the murder of former minister and Ajit Pawar's NCP faction leader Baba Siddiqui, four incidents of political assassinations or firing have taken place in Mumbai this year.

This includes the attack on actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra, the murder of NCP's taluka president in Ghopadeo. However, as per reports, in the last nine years, 19 people have died in 19 different incidents across Mumbai.

Recently on October 5, NCP's Byculla Assembly Taluka President Sachin Kurmi alias Munna (45) was murdered in Ghopdev area. Three people were arrested in that case. The case has now been handed over to the Crime Branch.

The most talked about incident of this year is the firing at Salman Khan's house. On April 14, actor Salman Khan was shot outside his house. In that case, a case was registered against the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol Bishnoi and other accused. In this case, Vicky Saheb Gupta and Sagar Jogendra Pal, who fired the bullets, were arrested from Gujarat.

Apart from this, in the firing incident due to financial dispute on April 7, an accused named Vijay Shettiyar shot Akash Kadam in Antop Hill area. Shettiar was later arrested from Dombivali.

Apart from this, former corporator Abhishek Ghosalkar was shot dead in Borivali area on February 2. There was a dispute going on between Abhishek Ghosalkar and Morris for the last several days. But recently both of them have reconciled by resolving their disputes against each other, so Morris invited Abhishek Ghosalkar to his office for a saree distribution program. At that time, Morris went to the cabin and fired live bullets on Facebook. Morris fired from his revolver. After this Morris shot himself.
