Recently, Mumbai’s Crime Branch unit No. 5 arrested 10 thieves-hailing from Jharkhand and Nepal who tried looting Waman Hari Pethe (WHP) jewellers shop on Wednesday midnight.
Mumbai’s Crime Branch Unit No. 5 received a tip that a group of men will be breaking into Dadar’s Waman Hari Pethe jewellers shop and accordingly, police laid a trap on Wednesday morning.
After a while, police witnessed 12 youngsters hailing from Nepal cutting the lock of the shop when police caught them red-handed but two of the thieves managed to escape.
Shivaji Park police filed a complaint against 10 thieves and Mumbai’s Crime Branch have taken the thieves in their custody. During an interrogation, police found out that the thieves were history-sheeter and had committed crimes in various areas.
