Mumbai’s Esplanade court had commenced the hearing of bail pleas of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, as well as, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in the cruise ship drug case on Friday.

According to reports, the court rejected the bail plea of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Munmun Dhamecha in the case that was related to the drugs seized post a raid being conducted on the cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.

Additionally, Khan and the other accused were taken to jail from the NCB office, claimed accounts. Post their medical they will be sent to jail, with the men being sent to Arthur Road Jail and women being sent to Byculla Jail. Reports also allege that all the eight accused that also include Khan tested negative for COVID-19.

Earlier in the day, the Superintendent of Arthur Jail Nitin Waychal mentioned that Khan along with the other accused will be in a quarantine cell for three to five days in the Arthur Jail itself.

Accounts cite that the judge elaborated on his view of how custodial interrogation isn’t required since enough time was offered.

Reports state that now Khan’s lawyers will need to approach the Sessions Court for bail.
