In a tragic accident that took place on December 18, 2024, 13 passengers died after a Navy speed boat collided with a passenger boat near Uran. 

A case has been registered against the speed boat driver and those concerned. Meanwhile, the navy speed boat has been towed by the navy and the boat will be inspected and checked by the police.

An FIR has been registered under CR No. 283/24 under 106(1), 125 (a) (b), 282, 324 (3)(5) BNS.

A case has been registered according to the complaint of passenger Natharam Chaudhary who shot the video.

The Navy informed that the accident occurred due to engine failure. A detailed, in-depth investigation has been launched to find out why and how the technical problem occurred.

At first sight, the accident is said to be due to a technical fault in the newly installed engine. The information about who was in control of this boat has not yet come to light.
