the Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested Milind Gavade (54), Additional Commissioner (Tribal Department) and Kiran Mali (39), Deputy Commissioner for accepting bribes of Rs 12 lakh.
The duo was caught redhanded, say sources. Gavade had allegedly demanded one lakh rupees each from offers appointed in the officers cadre, a few years ago. The officers concerned had complained to the ACB. Reacting to the complaint on Saturday, the ACB conducted an operation and nabbed Milind Gavade and Kiran Mali while they were accepting the money.
