A Sessions Court convicted a man of beating a 15-year-old boy with a belt and a plastic pipe for talking to a girl. But instead of sentencing the accused to imprisonment, the court sentenced him a fine of INR 1,000. The court acquitted the wife of the accused in this case.
Regarding the complaint filed by the complainant, there was a dispute between the two families over the love relationship between the complainant and the daughter of the accused. In the background of all this, considering the nature of the crime and the overall facts, it is appropriate to give penal punishment to the accused, the court said while passing the above order.
According to the complaint of the complainant's son, he was studying in college at the time of the incident. Before that he met the accused's daughter while studying in school especially while going to tutoring classes. Later, the relationship between the two started. When the parents of the accused's daughter came to know about this affair, they gave him understanding and warned him not to contact the girl. Thereafter, the complainant stopped contacting the accused's daughter.

On the day of the incident i.e. May 13, 2015, the girl was standing in the third floor gallery of her building. At that time the girl called the complainant there and both were talking there. Seeing them both talking, the accused went there. He then took them home. He also beat the complainant with a waist belt and plastic pipe. Not stopping at this, the complainant had also alleged in the complaint that the accused had threatened him.
After the beating, the boy called his brother and invited his parents to the house of the accused. After all this, people also gathered outside the house of the accused. After the parents of the complainant reached the house of the accused and the boy came to know about the behaviour of the accused, a verbal argument ensued between the two families. The case reached Nagpada police station. There the complainant lodged a complaint of assault against the accused. In this case, the complainant and his brother testified against the accused in the court.
The court also accepted the testimony of the complainant while convicting the accused of the charges against him. The complainant maintained his statement to the police till the end. Also, the documents of the treatment received in the hospital after the beating by the accused were also presented in the court. All these matters prove the charges against the accused, the court said while convicting the accused.
