The angry son-in-law set his mother-in-law on fire due to an argument with his wife. The incident took place on Monday, February 24. Along with the mother-in-law, the son-in-law too got burnt to death in this incident. Navghar police is investigating further in this matter. Son-in-law's name is Krishna Ashtankar (56) who was residing in Mulund East, was not living with her wife. They were separated for many years. 


Krishna suspected that mother-in-law Babi Usre (72) was responsible for the dispute with his wife. So he was very angry with Babi. On Monday, he went to the area where his mother-in-law lived. He made his mother-in-law sit in his tempo. He then beat the mother-in-law severely and poured petrol on her body and set her on fire.

She died of severe burns. However, even Krishna could not get out of the tempo and was badly burned. The police immediately admitted him to the municipal hospital. But he died before treatment. Navghar police have registered a case and have started the investigation in this regard.
