The Maharashtra government has enforced an app-based admission system for visitors at Mantralaya. This follows the introduction of a facial recognition system. All visitors will be required to register on the DigiPravesh app before entry. This will include government employees too.
The face recognition system was launched earlier this month. All public representatives, employees, and officers at Mantralaya have completed registration. There are now 10,500 registered users, including contract workers.
Under the new system, all field officers, staff, and regular visitors must register on DigiPravesh before visiting Mantralaya or the New Administrative Building. Meeting invitations for officials and staff must be uploaded to the app at least one day in advance. Visitors will receive a QR code after registration.
This will be used to issue an RFID card for entry. Ordinary visitors will be allowed entry only after 2:00 pm. Field officers and staff can enter after 10:00 am. Senior citizens and persons with disabilities will be permitted after 12:00 pm, provided they show valid proof of age or disability.
As per the new guidelines, strict rules will apply to movement inside the building. Visitors must enter through the designated floor and department mentioned during registration. Any deviation will result in disciplinary action. The administration has also urged visitors to leave promptly and avoid crowding the premises.
To register, users must upload identification documents such as a driver's licence, PAN card, or Aadhaar card. Visitors must return their RFID cards before leaving Mantralaya.
