Accused Vicky Kumar Gupta, while seeking bail, claimed that he was involved in the conspiracy to attack the house of actor Salman Khan in order to repay the debt owed by the co-accused in financial condition.


Gupta, one of the accused who fired at Salman Khan's residence in Bandra on April 14, has applied for bail in a special court. A preliminary hearing on his application was held on Tuesday before Special Court Judge BD Shelke. At that time, the court took cognizance of his application and fixed it for hearing on August 13. Also, the police were ordered to file a reply to Gupta's application.

He was influenced by  Lawrence Bishnoi, the main accused in the case. After reading his information on various platforms, I connected with his thinking. Impressed by Anmol and Lawrence Bishnoi and another absconding accused in this case, I was motivated to commit this crime. Gupta has also claimed in the bail application that he was assured that nothing would happen to him after committing the crime.

I did not intend to harm Salman. Also, Sagar Kumar Pal, the accused in this case, had helped me financially and got me a job as a driver in Jalandhar, Punjab. While seeking bail, Gupta claimed that he had decided to help Pal in this case to pay off his debt.
