Maharashtra Home Minister Deepak Kesarkar has been accused of mistreating a woman when she sought for help from the minister regarding the atrocity committed against her. The woman filed a complaint against Kesarkar at Marine Drive Police station.

Earlier in May 2017, the woman and her minor daughter were gang-raped by seven men after being drugged. The women claimed that she tried to register a complaint regarding the same but her complaint was registered after 45 days. Of seven accused, the police registered the complaint against only one accused. The woman explained that this happened due to the political pressure from a politician.

What’s your worth, don’t talk much,” State Home Minister Deepak Vasant Kesarkar yelled at the victim after she went to meet him to seek help. Later, the woman was thrown out of Kesarkar’s office.

Despite the monstrous act, the accused continue to threaten the woman. She has moved to five different places in just six months due to the constant threats from the accused. After all this, the police has failed to register the case against all the accused.

Earlier, the State home minister had assured the woman of prosecuting the accused. However, Kesarkar couldn’t stand on his promise and after waiting for a long time to get justice, she approached the minister yet again on Monday.
