As Maharashtra continues to conduct the vaccination drive across the city of Mumbai, Infiniti Mall (Malad) in association with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) kick-started a drive-in vaccination facility for citizens in the parking lot from Friday, May 28 2021.
Moreover, Municipal Councillor, Smt. Jaya Satnam Singh Tiwana inaugurated the free vaccination drive. According to sources, all citizens above the age of 45 can avail of the coronavirus vaccine free of cost with prior registration on the Cowin app. The drive-in is being held at Infiniti Mall, Malad from 10 am – 5 pm.
In addition, the vaccine doses available onsite would be Covishield. Citizens can avail of dose 1 or dose 2 and would only be required to carry their Aadhar Cards and easily get vaccinated without stepping out of their vehicles.
Furthermore, in order to educate people on the importance of vaccines and to encourage them to get the jab, Infiniti Mall has collaborated with T.E.A.M, a student-led NGO on a campaign for the same, which was unveiled with drive-in vaccination. This year, T.E.A.M has pledged all its resources to curate a vaccination education and distribution drive for local communities in more than 10 native languages. The campaign created by the students debunks common myths and misconceptions surrounding the vaccine by sharing scientifically proven data and statistics. They have highlighted the importance of getting the vaccine and are urging citizens to get the jab to win this battle against the coronavirus.
Speaking about the same, Mukesh Kumar, CEO, Infiniti Mall said “We are delighted to have organized this drive-in vaccination collectively with the BMC. In these challenging times, it is extremely important that people get vaccinated as soon as they can. Additionally, to encourage people to get themselves vaccinated, we have collaborated with T.E.A.M on a campaign, which was unveiled at the drive-in. We are honoured to have contributed to this battle against the pandemic and hope to continually do so.”
