Patients suffering from Contagious diseases have increased in number: KEM Hospital General Practitioner

Amid heavy rainfall during the monsoon season in Mumbai, there have been many medical cases of fever, cold and cough. The patient’s queues at Government hospitals for its treatment are huge. Thus, special Out Patient Departments (OPDs) have been introduced in KEM Hospital.

For two days, it has been raining heavily and the humidity in the city’s environment has escalated and helped spread diseases. In KEM Hospital, at least 30 patients have been treated with contagious diseases such as severe fever, cough and cold. KEM Hospital’s General Practitioner Dr Sunil Lamba informed that the number of patients has increased to 40.

Dr Lamba further informed that there has been an increase in the number of patients for contagious diseases as compared to the previous year.  “We have provided OPD facility for patients at KEM Hospital,” Lamba added.
