The important and challenging phase of Andheri (West) to Mandale Metro 2B has finally been successfully completed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The Metro 2B route will continue crossing the monorail route at Chembur Naka. A 157 tonne girder (girder) has been successfully constructed to carry the metro line across the monorail line.
The MMRDA is working on Metro 2B and MMRDA is planning to put this route into service in December 2024. So MMRDA has accelerated the work. Thus, the most difficult and challenging task of this work is now completed.

Metro 2B will pass over the monorail line, crossing the monorail line from Chembur Naka V. N. Purav route. For that, it was necessary to install girders on the monorail line. According to MMRDA, a girder weighing 157 tonnes and 27 metres long was installed between midnight and 5:00 am on Saturday.
This girder, which is 18 metres high from the ground, has been installed with the help of a 750 tonne crane. With the completion of the difficult work on the Metro 2B line, the work will now accelerate. So far, more than 50 percent of the work on this route has been completed. On this occasion, the MMRDA has expressed the belief that this route will be completed within the scheduled time.
