Mumbai – The iconic Dabbawalas of Mumbai will also participate in the Maratha bike rally to be held in the city on 6 November. The Maratha silent march organisers have decided to hold the bike rally to press for their various demands. As most of the Dabbawalas use bicycles, MP Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil has arranged for TVS bikes for some of them. Now, the dabbawalas too will participate in the rally under the guidance of the Dabbawala Sanghtana president Bhausaheb Karwande, Babandada Walanj, Vitthal Sawant, Ashok Kumbhar, and Arjun Sawant. Subhash Talekar, a spokesperson for the dabbawalas association said that the reservation for Marathas will help their sons and daughters get a good education and secure government jobs in future.
