Sion - In a blow for the Shiv Sena just before the BMC elections, former ward-head of Shiv Sena Shashikant Shivram Sawant breathed his last on Wednesday night.
Sawant had been working for the party for the last 30 years and was elected as Ward-head in 2005. The Sion Koliwada area observed a bandh on Thursday to mourn Sawant's death.
