MNS to Field Sandeep Deshpande Against Aaditya Thackeray in Worli Constituency; Tensions Rise in Shinde's Sena

Like the previous assembly election, the Worli constituency remains one of the most sought-after constituencies this year. Speculations are rife about who will be fielded as the candidate from the Shiv Sena's Shinde faction to challenge MLA Aaditya Thackeray. There is also talk of a major surprise being planned. However, office-bearers from the Shinde Shiv Sena have publicly demanded a local MLA for the constituency. On Monday, Legislative Assembly Speaker Datta Narvankar also demonstrated a show of strength in Worli. 

Worli Vidhan Sabha Constituency is the stronghold of MLA Aaditya Thackeray. Aaditya Thackeray is going to contest from this constituency this time and Shiv Sena's Shinde group and Mahayuti have been searching for a strong candidate to field against him. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena candidate Sandeep Deshpande who will be contesting against Aaditya Thackeray has already started his interaction with people in this constituency.

Former corporator Datta Narvankar is interested in contesting from Shinde's Shiv Sena. After the split in the Shiv Sena, Narvankar joined the Shinde group. At present, he is holding the post of head of the Vidhan Sabha. While his name is being discussed, it is being heard that Shaina NC of BJP is also interested in this constituency for the past few days. On the other hand, there is also a strong discussion that a big candidate will be brought from outside. Because of this, Narvankar's supporters were unsettled and demanded that only local candidates be given a chance in Worli.
