In a major blow to NCP rebel Ajit Pawar, Amol Kolhe, MP from Shirur has decided to switch sides a day after joining Eknath Shinde-BJP alliance. Amol Kolhe announced that he will be extending his support to Sharad Pawar.

Taking it to Twitter, Amol Kolhe said, "Jab Dil aur Madagai Mein Jang Ho To Dil Ki Suno. Maybe the Madagak Kabhi Kabhi Morality Bhool Jata Hai … Par Dil Kabhi Nahin. #Me_Sahebanda."

The nine MLAs who have “indulged in anti-party activities” according to the NCP are Ajit Pawar, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse Patil, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Aditi Tatkare, Dharmarao Atram, Anil Patil and Sanjay Bansode. They have been disqualified.

Meanwhile, on Monday, July 3, Rakhi Jadhav has been announced and appointed as the Mumbai Divisional Working President of NCP Party and she is being entrusted with the responsibility of organization of all 6 districts of Mumbai Division.

This development came a day after Ajit Pawar led a vertical split in the NCP to become the second Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. With this, it becomes the second tripartite government in Maharashtra.

The first was formed in 2019 when Sharad Pawar stitched the coalition of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress.
