Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Chintaman Vanga was loyal to the party until his death but his honesty did not pay his family well as Vanga’s family was left unattended. As this happened, the Shiv Sena gave the candidacy to Vanga’s son Srinivas Vanga.

Earlier, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called Shiv Sena “back-stabber” and “dishonest”. Reacting to this, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray taunted Devendra Fadnavis and said that “he will have to write a new directory if he sees this as dishonesty.”

Shiv Sena chief further slammed BJP for protecting its MP Kirit Somaiya, who recently manhandled a hawker in Mulund, and not taking care of the Vanga family. He said that this is called dishonesty, taunting Chief Minister over his remarks.

While campaigning for Palghar Lok Sabha bypolls, Thackeray said that Chintaman Vanga worked all his life for the tribals with a saffron flag in his hand and giving the ticket to ex-congressmen Rajendra Gavit instead of his family is dishonesty.

Chief Minister might have money but with truth and honesty, Chintaman’s son will win this election. In Maharashtra, one cannot buy the MLAs like the BJP tried in Karnataka because it is the holy land of Lord Shiva. Shiv Sena chief showed his confidence over his party’s win in the bypolls.
