The unhappiness among several senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Maharashtra is an open secret now.
While senior BJP leader Eknath Khadse has expressed his disappointment over being sidelined in the assembly elections which were held this year, Pankaja Munde also wrote a post on Facebook about the current political scenario hinting to leave the BJP.
Munde who contested the assembly elections from Parli constituency on BJP ticket against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dhananjay Munde had to face defeat.
Earlier, Eknath Khadse submitted the “proof” regarding the alleged role of BJP leaders in her daughter’s (Rohini Khadse) defeat. Khadse had also said that some BJP leader played an active role in Pankaja Munde’s defeated as well.
Pankaja Munde on Monday missed the BJP’s regional level meeting in Aurangabad. However, Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil informed that Pankaja Munde was absent as she was unwell.
I have spoken to Pankaja Munde before coming to Aurangabad for the meeting. She is not well. She had informed me earlier about her absence,” Chandrakant Patil told the media.
Patil further informed that he will meet Munde in her hometown Parli in Beed district, mostly on the birth anniversary of late BJP leader Gopinath Munde.
Another BJP leader Prakash Mehta, who was sidelined by the Fadnavis lobby in the assembly elections, met Pankaja Munde at the latter’s residence in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Eknath Khadse met NCP chief Sharad Pawar in Delhi. The official talks between the two leaders remain a secret.
However, with the ongoing political condition, one can make out that Khadse is trying to create pressure on the BJP leadership to take action against the “leaders responsible for the defeat of her daughter”.
An aide close to Eknath Khadse said that the BJP’s decision has caused problems in the OBC leadership and the senior party leader may have discussed the same in Delhi.

Khadse is also likely to meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Earlier, the senior BJP leader had said that he has worked for the party for four decades and “will think differently if he continuously faces humiliation”.
