On this occasion, he was also asked about the Worli accident and about providing financial assistance to the victim's family. Speaking in this regard, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that we will provide financial aid of INR 10 lakh to the victim's family.
What exactly did Eknath Shinde say?
From the very first day, I have given orders to take action against the culprits of the Worli hit and run case and also to take action against the pubs and bars that operate late into the night. I had given similar orders in the Pune case as well. Everyone saw the action that followed. Action is on in the Worli case too. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that action will be taken against those who do illegal work.
Speaking further, he said we stand with the victim's family. They are members of our family. Whatever help they need, be it legal, or financial, they will be helped.
Aslam Sheikh demanded help
Earlier, Congress leader Aslam Shaikh had demanded financial assistance to the family of the victim in the Worli hit and run case in Vidhan Bhavan. The family of the woman who died in the Worli hit and run case has not yet received any help from the government. He said that if the Koli brothers, who are the Bhoomiputra of Mumbai, do not receive help from the government even after 2 days after the accidental death of a woman in their family, the government should think whether the government has the right to call it the 'government of the common people'.
