Intercity Express and Deccan Express trains running between Pune-Mumbai will remain closed from June 28 to 30. Due to the doubling work on Puntamba-Kanegaon and Daund-Manmad route, both these express trains will remain cancelled. This decision is likely to cause inconvenience to passengers.
The Pune-Mumbai Intercity Express has been cancelled on Friday (28). Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express has also been cancelled on Saturday (29). Pune-Mumbai Intercity has also been cancelled on the same day. Mumbai-Pune Intercity has been cancelled on Sunday (30th).
Increase in concern of Mumbaikars
Passengers travelling between Mumbai to Pune and Pune to Mumbai may face difficulties. Because Intercity Express and Deccan Express have been cancelled for three days. Both these cars run at high speed. So these trains are always crowded with passengers. The railway administration has appealed to those travelling between Pune-Mumbai to be careful on these days.
The Railway Department has started generating electricity by installing solar panels on the roof of the diesel locomotive shed at Ghorpadi on an area of six and a half thousand square metres. The solar panels installed on the diesel loco shed will generate 9.44 lakh kilowatts of electricity annually.
INR 52 lakh rupees per year will be saved in the electricity bill of the railways. The railway has a diesel locomotive shed at Ghorpadi. Inspection of Pune-Lonavala route
Central Railway General Manager Ram Karan Yadav inspected the Lonavala-Pune-Lonavala railway line in Pune division on Saturday. The General Manager inspected all the technical aspects of the Lonavala-Pune Down and Up route.
