Like every year, 'Mahalakshmi Yatra' will be organised in Mumbai city in the month of October. This journey will run from October 3 to November 11. To facilitate the large number of devotees coming to visit 'Mahalakshmi' during Mahalakshmi Yatra, special buses will run from Byculla, Mahalakshmi Railway Station between Mumbai suburbs as well as Mahalakshmi.


As per requirement, the number of bus services running through Mahalaxmi Temple from different parts of the city will also be increased. Travellers visiting Mahalaxmi Temple mostly come by local buses from Byculla station and Mahalaxmi station and from there they use BEST bus services. Therefore, more and more buses of BEST initiative will be run on this route between Byculla, Mahalaxmi Station and Mahalaxmi Temple. Bus inspectors and traffic officers will be appointed at the bus station to guide the devotees.

During Mahalaxmi Yatra, 23 additional buses will be run daily on BEST bus routes 37, 57, 151, A-63, A-77, A-77 Jada, A-357, 83. Additionally, special bus services will be run for local passengers from Prabodhankar Thackeray Udyan (Sewri) to Mahalaxmi Temple during peak hours via Lalbaug, Chinchpokli and Mahalaxmi railway stations during the 9 days of Navratri.


The BEST administration has requested that citizens should avail the special bus service provided by BEST during Mahalaxmi Yatra.
