The first phase of the 'Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Metro 3' route between Aarey-BKC is yet to receive a certificate from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) for putting it into service. So the process of getting the certificate will take at least one-and-a-half months.
BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde announced in a tweet on Wednesday July 24 that 'Metro 3' will be launched. But after some time he deleted this tweet. But due to this tweet of his, there has been a lot of confusion. Meanwhile, it is likely to take at least one and a half to two months to start the first phase.
The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) is working on the 33.5 km long subway 'Metro 3'. The first phase of this route between Aarey-BKC has been completed. Now all that is left is to get the certificate from the Commissioner of Metro, Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) after passing the tests. This process will start soon. This process is likely to take one to one and a half months to complete. After completion of this process and getting the certificate, the first phase will be launched.
Metro transport cannot be admitted to service without a CMRS certificate. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Vinod Tawde tweeted that 'Metro 3' will be released on July 24. After this tweet, the news of the release of 'Metro 3' started to spread and there was confusion about the date. Even MMRC was confused. There was no official announcement from the Centre, State Government or MMRC, and there was no CMRS certificate mentioned in the tweet of the inauguration, which created confusion.
