The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has issued new guidelines for domestic passengers arriving from select states.
The guidelines state that all passengers arriving at CSMIA from Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal should carry a negative RT-PCR test report.

It further states that the RT-PCR sample collection for such passengers “should have been done within 72 hours before scheduled time of landing at airports in Maharashtra.”
If passengers are unable to show a negative RT-PCR test report, a test will be conducted at the airport at their own expense, CSMIA said adding that passengers are allowed to exit the airport after taking the test.

Domestic flights were impacted severely last year as the pandemic began to take shape across the world. However, they were allowed to operate in limited capacity some weeks later.
Airlines are now undertaking vaccination programmes for their employees, including frontline staff such as pilots and cabin crew.
