During Ganeshotsav, people visit various Ganesha mandals in large numbers. This has led to an increase in the parking of two-wheelers and four-wheelers especially since Thursday itself. Due to this, traffic congestion has become a problem. To address parking issues and prevent disruptions caused by unauthorised parking, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has introduced 'Pay and Park' service for devotees at Wadala Bus Depot.

The 'Pay and Park' facility will be available till the end of the festival i.e. on September 17, 2024. Both two-wheelers and four-wheelers can be parked at reasonable rates due to the paid parking system which will allow the devotees to visit mandals with ease. The purpose of this facility is to discourage roadside parking and ensure smooth flow of traffic during the festival.
