After reports of an FIR being filed against Gauahar Khan for not complying with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) COVID-related norms has come to light, the actor’s team has issued clarifications and dismissed the news report as mere speculation.
A statement by Gauahar Khan’s team said that she has not tested positive for coronavirus. “For everyone sending their best wishes and concern for Gauahar Khan, here’s the latest report. She has tested negative in multiple reports,” the statement, which also had a photocopy of a medical report, from Gauahar’s team read.
Besides, the statement requested the people to not speculate and also urged media houses not to indulge in speculation and respect Gauahar’s emotionally low time as she’s just lost her father 10 days ago.
“She’s a law-abiding citizen and complying with all the norms of BMC. This is to appeal for all the speculation to be put to an end. Gauahar Khan is cooperating with everything that the BMC requires. Requesting all the media houses to not indulge in speculation and respect Gauahar’s emotionally lowest low time as she’s just lost her father 10 days ago and she’s going through everything that is expected from her by the BMC.”
"So with folded hands, we want Gauahar’s time to her self, respectfully and let her heart heal in this mourning time,” the statement added.
On Monday, March 15, BMC filed an FIR against a popular Bollywood actor for non-compliance with the COVID-19 norms despite testing positive.
According to sources, the Bigg Boss fame Gauahar Khan had tested positive and despite this, she was found shooting outdoor. Reacting to this, the BMC took action the actress sending a stern message to Mumbaikars flouting COVID-related rules.
“No Compromise On City’s Safety! BMC has filed an FIR against a Bollywood actor for non-compliance with COVID19 guidelines on testing positive. The rules apply to all alike and we urge citizens to follow all guidelines and help the city beat the virus,” the civic body tweeted with a copy of the FIR.

Gauahar recently lost her father, Zafar Ahmed Khan, due to age-related illness. In terms of work, Gauahar was last seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s web series Tandav, also starring Saif Ali Khan, Sunil Grover, Dimple Kapadia, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
