Revered Bollywood actor, Salman Khan moved a Mumbai civil court against, “Selmon Bhai”, a video game that is allegedly bedded on his hit-and-run case from 2002. In light of this, the court has instructed a temporary restraint on accessibility to the game, highlighted accounts.

Based on the report by the PTI, Parody Studios Pvt Ltd and its directors, the curators of the game have been restrained by the court from broadcasting, introducing, re-introducing or restarting the game or any other content concerning the actor.

The curators have been instructed by the court, to promptly, take-down, block, disable access to the game from the Google Play Store and any of the other platforms.

The court elaborated that on seeing the game and its image, at first sight, it resembles Khan’s identity and the connected hit-and-run case. It added that the actor never accorded his approval for the game. It further elucidated that the actor’s image was “tarnished” through the game. The order mentioned that since the plaintiff hasn’t provided his consent for the game that is similar to him and the case against him, his right to privacy is definitely being diminished along with his image being tarnished.

Last month, the actor had filed an application in court against the game’s curators, stating that the name and images seen in the game were like his caricature model. The application further said that Selmon Bhai, the game is phonetically similar to his famous name amongst fans.

In 2015, the Bombay High Court acquitted the actor of all charges in the hit-and-run case of 2002.
