Due to rush on platforms at railway stations, many children get separated from their parents. These children wander around the station premises, or sit in a corner crying. The RPF department of Central Railway has done the work of finding such children, understanding their background, finding their parents and sending them home. In the last three months, the railway administration has succeeded in repatriating 538 children who went missing in the railway area.


The Railway Security Force (RPF) of the Central Railway is responsible for the security of railway property, passenger areas and passengers. Apart from this, they participate in various campaigns. Also, 'Operation Nanhe Farishte' campaign is being implemented in Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Bhusawal, Nagpur divisions by the Railway Security Force of Central Railway.

Under this campaign, children who are lost or run away from home within the railway limits are sent home. From 1 August 2024 to 30 November 2024, RPF has sent home 538 children. This includes 384 boys and 154 girls. With the help of an NGO called 'Child Line', these children were reunited with their parents.
