Three caretakers of the pre-primary school in Khar east have been arrested for sexually abusing a three-year-old girl. Currently, all the three accused women are in judicial custody, as per the report by the Free Press Journal. It is believed that the incident took place on July 13.
The child’s parents approached the school management and accused the caretaker of sexually abusing her in the toilet. The complaint was made in the second week of July. After reviewing the incident, the principal registered a case in Khar police station.
An investigation was started by the police who then recorded the statements of the accused on the same day before arresting them. Post the FIR, the school management issued a statement saying that they are committed to provide a safe and nurturing environment to all students and will continue to take all necessary steps to promptly and appropriately address this situation.
