Popular comedy entertainment channel, SAB TV, is all set to revive the golden era of Indian Television by getting one of its old shows Shriman Shrimati back on the screen. Titled as Shriman Shrimati Phirse, the show will have Sucheta Khanna, Suresh Menon, Sameer Shah and Barkha Bisht reprising the iconic roles. In Shriman Shrimati Phirse, Suresh will essay the role of Dilruba, Sucheta and Barkha will be seen as Koki and Prema and Sameer will play Keshu respectively.
Shriman Shrimati focuses on the lives of two couples, who stay as neighbours. The men try to woo each other’s wives adding much fun. Each character is versatile and when all four characters come together creates a hilarious scene.
In the year 1994 Shriman Shrimati was aired on Doordarshan and had Jatin Kanakia as Keshav, Rakesh Bedi as Dilruba, Reema Lagoo as Koki and Archana Puran Singh as Prema playing the lead roles. It was produced by the well-known Adhikari Brothers, Gautam Adhikari, and Markand Adhikari.
