After experiencing a short-lived victory in Karnataka elections, elated Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar tweeted about the victory thanking the voters. He had further mentioned in his tweet that the BJP will win Bhandara and Palghar MLC elections as well hinting Shiv Sena's defeat.
However, when Shiv Sena won MLC elections in Nashik, Parbhani and Hingoli defeating BJP and other opposition parties, SS MP Sanjay Raut did not leave an opportunity of criticising Shelar.
After the victory, Raut tweeted targeting BJP and other opposition parties and criticised Shelar in mentioning that after winning Nashik, Parbhani and Hingoli, SS will win Palghar elections as well. In his tweet, Raut did his best to remind Shelar about his old tweet which had mentioned about taking over Bhandara and Palghar.
For the upcoming Palghar elections, Shiv Sena has fielded Srinivas Wanga who once associated with BJP party. Likewise, BJP has fielded Rajendra Gavit who once was with the Congress party.
It is being said that, BJP party leaders did not like SS fielding Wanga for Palghar elections. While addressing a rally in Palghar, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath too criticised Shiv Sena for fielding Wanga who was once with BJP.
