WhatsApp is an application we all are addicted to using every day. Ever since its launch, the application has taken over the SMS market and as per reports, the company is also planning to bring the business version of the app, which will help advertisers and promoters reach out to a larger audience. The app is currently being tested and may be available soon for certain brands.
Meanwhile, to improve the usage and impress the users, the application developers have added the 'live location' feature to the app, and this has made consumers happy, expressing with their comments on social media.
WhatsApp users will now be able to share their location in real time with their friends. The feature called Live Location will be available for both the iOS and Android versions of the application. Further reports also confirm that WhatsApp borrowed the feature from its parent company Facebook.
To share a location, all you have to do is to open a chat, click on attach icon where one will get the option live location, tap on it and share the real-time location. It also works if multiple people share locations simultaneously, as their respective icons will appear on the same map.
While sharing live location on WhatsApp, location sharing will be end-to-end encrypted with a security function. After a while, users can stop sharing their location.
