During the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, the last phase saw polling in Mumbai on May 20. Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) had made strong efforts to win six seats in Mumbai. The actual result will come out when the EVMs open on June 4, but exit polls revealed on June 1 have given clean sweep to MVA.
After the final phase of voting, several news organizations and polling agencies released their exit polls on June 1. Major polls such as India Today-Axis My India, News24-Today's Chanakya and Republic-Matrix have provided state-wise seat estimates for political parties.
Mumbai is expected to see MVA dominate with five seats while Mahayuti will bag one seat, as per exit poll survey.
Rudra survey-Exit Polls offered a detailed report on Mumbai's six seats, Congress is shown winning 1 seat and Shiv Sena led by Shinde 1 seat. Former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena UBT is likely to get two seats. BJP has won only North Mumbai seat, which is contested by Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
MVA is contesting six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai. Of which, Uddhav Thackeray's party had contested on four seats in Mumbai. Two seats were left for Congress.
Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had contested on three seats.
5 Seats win by MVA:
The polls shows Amol Kirtikar win from the prestigious Mumbai North West constituency with 51% vote share. Sanjay Nirupam had left the Congress party regarding dispute over this seat.
With Shiv Sena UBT's Anil Desai predicted to win with 47% of the vote share in Mumbai South Central seat.
In another highly contested Mumbai South seat, Shiv Sena UBT's Arvind Sawant is expected to secure a third consecutive win with 51% of the vote share.
In Mumbai North East, Shiv Sena UBT's Sanjay Dina Patil is anticipated to win with 52% of the vote share.
INC's Varsha Gaikwad is predicted to win with 51% of the vote share from Mumbai North Central seat.
