Pune expressway toll exemption hits roadblock

Mumbai - A state government report probing the possible exemption of tolls on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway has quashed any such possibility, prompting RTI activist Vivek Welankar to allege that the report has been doctored. He has reiterated his demand for the exemption of Mumbai-Pune Expressway toll at the earliest, disregarding the report submitted by a committee constituting government officials and contractors. Vivek Welankar says that if appropriate action is not taken at the earliest, he will appeal to the courts.
