Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA in Bihar and cousin of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, on Wednesday sent a legal notice to Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut over an article published in ‘Saamana’.

In the article, Raut claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput didn’t share good relations with his father KK Singh and was unhappy with his second marriage.

After the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the SSR death case, Raut, in his column ‘Rokhtokh’, alleged that the Bollywood actor had strained relations with his father.

Reacting to this, Bablu said that the remarks made by the Shiv Sena MP were highly condemnable and rubbished allegations about the second marriage of Sushant’s father. The BJP MLA said that these claims were fake and not factual while demanding a public apology from Raut over his remarks.

Bablu, through his lawyer, on Wednesday sent a legal notice to Raut via email asking him to apologise within 48 hours or he will have to face legal action over his “baseless” remarks on Sushant’s relations with his family.

Ashish Jha, the BJP MLAs lawyer, said that if Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut tenders an apology within 48 hours the matter will not be pursued further. “However, if he fails to do so, we will take legal action,” he added.

Bablu had earlier said that the claims made by Raut about the second marriage of Sushant’s father were fake. He expressed his displeasure saying that Raut was making such remarks without knowing the facts.

Meanwhile, Bihar BJP has demanded that CBI interrogate Raut and Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray in connection with the SSR death case. BJP’s Nikhil Anand suggested that the CBI should conduct a narco-analysis test on both leaders. He further alleged that the evidence connected to the death case is being tampered with and destroyed.
