Mumbai Police has launched a special campaign against the rickshaw drivers who violate the traffic rules in Mumbai and action has been taken against the rickshaw drivers who violate the rules. 426 rickshaws were seized by the police.
Mumbai Police has launched a special drive from November 29 to nab rickshaw drivers who violate traffic rules. Under this campaign, action has been taken against those driving rickshaws without license, without uniform, without batch, without license.
Also, action was taken against the 2099 rickshaw drivers who violated traffic rules such as not having a performance certificate, putting more passengers in the rickshaw, parking the rickshaw outside the parking lot, illegally calling passengers, refusing fare etc. A total of 426 rickshaws were seized from this operation.
A special campaign will be carried out continuously against those who violate traffic rules. The Brihanmumbai Police Commissionerate has requested that if a rickshaw driver is found violating the rules, the commuter should contact the number 100, 103, 112 to file a complaint with the main control room of the police force.
