This year, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to make available the list of artificial lakes to be constructed for Ganesh Idol immersion on Google Maps. Apart from this, devotees will get information about artificial lakes through QR code. This 'QR Code' will be placed in the visible area outside the Mandapa of Ganesha Sculptors. During this year's Ganeshotsav, the municipality will try to provide the facility of home delivery of eco-friendly Ganesha idols through online shopping channels.
The coordination meeting was organised at BMC headquarters under the chairmanship of Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District. The meeting was attended by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs) Dr. Amit Saini along with representatives of Mumbai Police Force, representatives and officials of Public Ganeshotsav Mandals and senior officials of various departments and departments of the Municipal Corporation. In the meeting, there was a positive and detailed discussion on the issues raised by the representatives of various associations of public Ganeshotsav mandals, office bearers.
Ganeshotsav is starting from 7th September 2024. The preparation of the municipal administration has reached the final stage for this. Deputy Commissioner (Circle 2) and Ganeshotsav Coordinator Prashant Sapkale gave information about this year's festival. Sapkale also said during the meeting that a target has been set to increase the number of artificial lakes to more than 200 this year. Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha directed the administration to increase the number of mobile toilets for devotees at Swarajya Bhoomi (Girgaon Chowpaty), Dadar Chowpaty, Mahim Chowpaty on the day of immersion.
